The MPD226 MIDI USB Pad Controller from Akai Professional features sixteen RGB illuminated MPC pads that are used to trigger drum hits or other samples in your software or external MIDI sound module. The pads are pressure- and velocity-sensitive, which makes them responsive and intuitive to play. The MPD226 controller features MIDI In and Out ports for connecting the unit to external MIDI devices like synthesizers, sequencers, and drum machines using a 1/8"-to-MIDI adapter (included) and a standard 5-pin MIDI cable. The unit can also be connected to any iOS device using the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit (available separately).
